My minus for this week would be nothing! I think that I have had a great week this week.

Super Sized Cat

Have you ever heard of a super-sized cat? Well, I certainly haven’t. Omar that cat was the same size as all of the kittens in his litter when his owner Stephy Hirst in 2013. But four years later Omar is 120 cm and weighs 14.5kg! Omar the cat from Melbourne, could be the biggest cat in the world! He is too heavy to pick up regularly and has to be taken to the vet in a dog crate.

Omar usually gets up at about 5:00 am and eats a couple of scoops of dry cat biscuits for breakfast then lounges around the house, plays in the backyard and lays on the tramp. He then has kangaroo meat for dinner. Omar has a special talent for opening doors, kitchen cupboards, shower screens and wardrobes.

Stephy started a social media account for Omar two weeks ago and one of the posts on the account has already been shared 270,000 times! Guinness World Records contacted Stephy and asked for the measurements of Omar. The previous world record for the largest cat was 118 cm cat from the UK.

Book Bash!

Marama has officially started book bash! I am reading the Sheep On The Fourth Floor. This is what the blurb says:

Anna is a well behaved and obedient child, who is horrified when she organises a school trip to her mother's laboratory and discovers they experiment on live animals.

A sheep is being held on the fourth floor of a secure building, away from all the things that make life good for a sheep and he will be killed and dissected when her mother's experiment is finished.

Sick at heart with what she now knows she is further rocked to discover her father has his own secret. What follows is her way of dealing with her own moral dilemma - exciting, funny poignant and probably illegal.

I am super excited to read this book!

Reps

Hauraki Plains Netball Rep Team

Last Saturday, Hauraki Plains Netball Centre had their annual reps trials. This year I was trialling as a year 8, there were around 20 year 8 girls trying to get into this team. I thought that my trial went really well. I was placed in the two positions that I play the best in which was great. We had two mini games and I was on for both. We were lucky enough to have Alex Macleod-Smith ( A player in the Waikato Bay Of Plenty Magic Netball team!) At our trials to warm us up and play games while we waited for the other teams to finish. I had a lot of fun! Today when I came to school everyone came up to me and said go and look at the notice board, so I went and looked and saw that I got into the rep team!

Winter Sport!

The Netball Season Has Started!

Finally, the netball season has started! A few weeks ago Ngatea Primary School Junior Netball held their netball trials. I managed to get into the A-Team, which is called Ngatea Magic. The coach for the team is Ange ( Lara's Mum ). She was my coach a couple of years ago. I think that she is an amazing coach. We have our training on Mondays and our games on Wednesdays.  For the first two weeks, the teams from all over Hauraki Plains are being graded. Our team is aiming to be in the top grade.

This week for training we did lots of pushups, ball skills and running around. At the end or our training, we played a mini game against Ngatea Force ( the B Team ). We won the game by far. Our first game of the season was against Combined 2. It was a great game; we won 23 - 0. In the second game

Ed Sheeran Look Alike!

There is a baby girl in the UK who looks exactly like a young version of Ed Sheeran. Her name is Isla Walton and she is two years old. Her mum, Zoe Walton said that family members had always pointed out how much she looked like Ed. Isla and her family have no relation to Ed, but they would both love to meet him because they are big fans! The Walton family live in Exeter, Devon, England. Here are a few picture of Isla and Ed:
