Hauraki Plains Swimming Sports

HP Swimming Sports

Yesterday I participated in Hauraki Plains Swimming Sports. I was so excited to participate in this event! There were many schools there from all over the Hauraki Plains. We race in heats of our age group, we are timed and the two fastest time out of the heats go to Thames Valley.

The day started off with the individual medley, I sat in my seat put on my goggles… SNAP!!! My goggles had snapped. I thought that was great! So I had to swim my whole race without goggles. In my breaststroke three lengths, can you guess what happened!? My goggles were stuck over my mouth for the WHOLE RACE!

I participated in many events such as 1 length free, 1 length butterfly, two and three lengths back and breaststroke. I also participated in the senior girls and the flying squad relay! In the relays, we came second in the senior girls and first in the flying squad. (The flying squad is made up of the fastest swimmers in each age group).

I overall thoroughly enjoyed Hauraki Plains Swimming Sports! I am very happy with my results! My next goal is that I get into Thames Valley Swimming Sports!!!!

(I will put up some pictures later)
